I Excluded My DIL From Our Family Vacation

This year, I made the tough decision to exclude my daughter-in-law from our family vacation. While we’ve tried to get along since she married my son, her sarcastic remarks and dismissive attitude were becoming too much. At a family dinner, she insulted me for planning the trip, claiming I was controlling. After that, I decided I couldn’t spend a week with someone who didn’t respect me.

I told my son I wanted her to skip the trip, and though he was upset, we went ahead. The trip was peaceful and enjoyable, but since returning, Megan hasn’t spoken to me and is keeping my granddaughter from me. I’m wondering if I should apologize and how to handle the situation moving forward.
